Skating Returns To Downtown Detroit This Summer! Here's All The Info...

Lace Up Your Roller Skates and Blades, The 4th Annual River Walk Skate Meetup is Back This Summer in Downtown Detroit! 

Hosted yearly, this skate gathering calls all roller sport enthusiasts to the number one voted river walk in the country, located on the border of downtown Detroit, and Canada. 

Is it your first time inquiring? Well, we have you covered on all the info about where, when, and how you can roll on the river this summer.

The meetups will occur every first Tuesday of the month starting in May at the Robert C. Valade Park located at 2670 Atwater St, Detroit, MI 48207, and going through the month of August. The official dates are May 3rd, June 7th, July 5th, and August 2nd.

Each evening will consist of a beginner basic class on the river, helping those who may be joining skating outdoors for the first time. This part of the evening will be from 6-7 PM, instructed by jam instructor Jaylon (Juice) Thomas.
From 7-9 PM, skaters will be able to enjoy rolling out on the river as groups will be lead to different areas of the river walk, such as Mount Elliot park, and, the Dequindre cut! Check out the routes in this interactive map below:
