Lace up your skates, because the 6th annual "Rollin' on the River" Detroit Riverwalk skate meetups are back again this year, presented by the Motown Roller Club and the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy!
For the past 6 years, skaters from Detroit and the metro surrounding areas flock to this skate meetup that is in located on the revitalized Detroit Riverwalk, operated by partners of the Motown Roller Club, The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, a non-profit organization dedicated to the establishment, improvement, operation, maintenance, security, programming and expansion of the Detroit Riverwalk and associated green spaces!

Started back in 2019, this skate meetup takes participants down the Detroit Riverwalk and ventures down the nearby Dequindre Cut, a greenway that connects Atwater street all the way to Eastern Market on Wilkins street. The starting location for these meetups take place at Robert C. Valade Park located at 2670 Atwater St.

These meetups traditionally started taking place on the first tuesday of every month starting in May and going through August, but this year more dates have been added by request. Participants can now enjoy this meetup on the 1st and 4th Tuesdays of each month, and also select Friday dates have been added as well!

These meetups are FREE for all participants, along with free parking across from the park! Tuesday meetup dates include a 1 hour beginner skate lesson, aimed at helping participants familiar with skating outdoors, and also to get their basic fundamentals down. The dates are as follows:
