Another summer has come and gone here in the beautiful city of Detroit. The leaves are changing, pumpkins are a regular showing on front porches, and the warm embrace of sweatshirts and jackets hug city goers as they continue about this upcoming colder season.
Detroit and the Motown Roller Club wrapped up it's roller skating summer meet ups, and saw many new and returning faces come and enjoy this beautiful city on the #1 rated river walk in America, the Detroit Riverfront!

Detroit has become a national hotspot for skating as more and more participants flock for a warm summer experience in the ever developing city. Easily enough, participants from Canada have a very close commute as they just have to come on down the Ambassador bridge.

As there are new participants who join each meetup, there are some who frequent these gatherings. Here are some words from participant Jamie Pillow:

"I looked forward to every Riverwalk event that Motown Roller Club held this summer. It provides a safe space for skaters to meet a community of other skaters on all different sets of wheels. While skating you also get to enjoy views of golden hour with the sun setting on the water as well as an epic view of the Ren Cen at night."
With the colder holiday seasons upon the city, the meetups will resume in summer of 23'. Scheduling will be available early spring for meetups and classes for all skill levels of skaters.
